On 29 October 2014 IAH receives the first book of its new series “Art History of Latvia” – Volume IV, “Period of Neo-Romanticist Modernism: 1890-1915”in separate Latvian (ISBN 978-9934-8471-2-7) and English (ISBN 978-9934-8471-3-4) versions (640 pp., 916 images). The book is edited by IAH Director Professor Eduards Kļaviņš, with contributions by Kristiāna Ābele (IAH, “Artistic Life”), Eduards Kļaviņš himself (“Fine Art”), Art History Department Head of the Latvian Academy of Art, Associate Professor Silvija Grosa (“Architecture”, “Applied Arts and Design”) and the Academy’s Graphic Department Professor Valdis Villerušs (“Book Design”).
Designer of the volume is Ieva Vīriņa, editor – Kristiāna Ābele, translators from the Latvian – Stella Pelše (IAH) and Valdis Bērziņš, copy editors of English – Andris Mellakauls, Stella Pelše and Kristīne Ivaško, project administrator and bibliographer – Daina Lāce (IAH). The book is printed at “Jelgavas tipogrāfija”.
